Fabian Wilnis has said he will fight for his first team place. The Dutchman looks the obvious candidate to miss out now that George Burley has signed Chris Makin, like Wilnis primarily a right-back. Town manager George Burley told Wilnis he was about to bring in another defender so Makin's arrival was no surprise to the Dutchman.

Marcus Stewart may find out whether his red card against Leeds has been rescinded today. The Town striker appealed against the red card which he felt was unjustified. Town manager George Burley went to see referee Peter Jones after the game and he said he would change his decision if he felt he had been harsh.

Town fell to their fifth consecutive defeat at Highbury this afternoon, but can be more than pleased with the way they acquitted themselves. Despite a difficult first half Town matched their more illustrious counterparts in the second, but lost due to a 67th minute Thierry Henry goal.

Town manager George Burley has said he has made no approach for AB Copenhagen international Brian Steen Nielsen. Yesterday reports suggested that the 32-year-old might be a target, but this always seemed unlikely.
